meaning of Allahu Akbar: (a philosophical interpretation) isnt exactly translatable to Allah the Great not Allah is Greater (not comparing between two, it indicates superlative case, ism tafdeel category ), and stands uncertain in Allah the Greatest (subtly differs from the intrinsic meaning) the complete sense of Allahu Akbar is right to be Allah is Greater than anything you can put.(Allahu Akbar mil kulli shayin qadir). ‘Allah is greater...than whatever you happen to believe in’ Allah is the constant greatest in respect of time, space and all other categories. there is an understandable difference between the two terms, the Greatest and the Greater than anything which rather makes a quasi-confusion to conceive the true meaning of the phrase Allahu Akbar, both as it were having the exact meaning. greater (than anything) is a strictly implied sense of Greatest-ness, as if it has a dynamic sense of the Greatest-ness; conceiving an essential indication of infinite regress added about to the term. we can better understand that we cant reach out the Supreme knowledge of Allahs Greatest-ness, rather gaining this ever ending continuous(dynamic) sense of that: Allah exists beyond any limit. why it is necessary to understand this phrase (Allahu Akbar) in a spiral way of thinking? in a few words, because in polytheism, once the Greatest is the Sun,Greatest is the Moon, or any chief god among many gods/goddess is believed to be the Greatest, and so on. which senses a concrete/constant meaning of Greatest-ness. on the contrary by uttering Allahu Akbar implies the Greatest-ness, existing beyond any concrete sense of the very meaning, stands for beyond any limit of objectivity, beyond of knowing empirically (or in terms of epistemology) etc. Allahs Greatness is an inevitable. may Allah bless us with true knowledge. only Allah knows the best
