meet the new boss just the same as the old boss Alex Salmond, - TopicsExpress

meet the new boss just the same as the old boss Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland, MP, MSP, leader of the #SNP and the man at the forefront of the Scottish Independence - Vote YES campaign, oh and hes a #Hearts fan. So upset at the poverty in Scotland, he spent £486,000 of the taxpayers money to go to the #RyderCup which included £3,756 for him and his wife to stay at the 5 star #PeninsulaHotel in Chicago for 4 nights. At a #RyderCup meal, Alex Salmond and his advisors worked out their plan to fight the homeless problem by spending £5,695 on drinks while listening to soothing music played by a pianist, hired by £1,000 of the taxpayers money. So worried about the increasing number of foodbanks in Scotland, Alex Salmond charged the taxpayer £250 for a pair of tartan trousers. So concerned about the economy, while on a working holiday in the US, Alex Salmond charged the taxpayer £1,100 to fly over two chefs from #Gleneagles. Alex Salmond charged the taxpayer £1.3 million to produce the 670 page #WhitePaper. Mr Salmond & Nicola Sturgeon claim it was a justifiable cost to provide voters with answers to their questions ... the White Paper turned out to be nothing more than a £1m+ SNP manifesto. The same White Paper is available to read in its entirety online or at a public library at no cost. The SNP spent more than £102,000 of taxpayers cash to twice go to Scotlands highest civil court to prevent the #Telegraph disclosing details of the SNPs new local income tax plans and figures in an Independent Scotland. Mr Salmond claimed he would introduce a 3p in the pound tax hike after Independence. This is now 9p in the pound. Its claimed VAT could now rise as high as 28%. Mr Salmonds own office racked up £58,640 of taxpayers money on travel between Dec 08 & Dec 13, all of which were in 5 star accomodation (available under FoI). Mr Salmond himself clocked up £21,379 of taxpayers money to stay in 5 star luxury. All other SNP Ministers combined spent £56,652 staying at 183 overseas hotels, all of which were 4 or 5 star. Mr Salmond used taxpayers money to the tune of £8,197 for a four day jaunt to #Hollywood to attend the premier of #Disney film #Brave. He took 3 SNP officials with him, each who stayed in their own room at £60 per person per night (not including any extras). A 3 day trip to #NewYork to celebrate #ScotlandWeek cost the Scottish taxpayer a further £4,999. Our globe trotting First Minister also charged us £7,725 for the priviledge of him travelling to China last November, where he again enjoyed 5 star luxury accommodation. Oor Alex claimed £116,000 in expenses to travel to and from Westminster - from May 07 to Mar 08 - despite the fact he only made 6 journeys, that was a cost to us, the taxpayer, of £20,000 a day! Included in the ludicrous cost was £18,591 in incidental expenses which have never been disclosed, and £14,000 for a London flat (which he has since given up). Mr Salmond has taken part in just 18 of 249 votes in the Commons (at the time of publishing the figures) which broke down to £6,500 of taxpayers cash per vote! The SNP have also spent £130,000 of the publics purse on polling, to keep abreast of voting ahead of the vote on September 18th. Alex the Jambo Salmond, claimed expenses of £428 travelling to and from Tynecastle meeting with creditors, administrators and fan groups after Hearts entered administration. Quoted I phoned the Lithuanian ambassador myself, at the bequest of Hearts, to try and facilitate the important moves that need to be made. Im a Hearts supporter - i declare an interest - but i have made the same approaches when necessary with other football clubs in Scotland. I would always do that as First Minister because part of my Ministerial role is to help Scottish football and everyone in Scottish football, whichever team they support. ~ What did he do when Dunfermline went into administration? Nothing. ~ What did he do when Rangers went into administration? He emailed Rangers, the administrators and HMRC and asked them to come to an agreement. Expenses? Nil. Mr Salmond earns approx £144,000 as First Minister (less expenses). He will collect a special government pension of approx £42,000/yr - a priviledge of his Ministerial position which he has refused to surrender, unlike David Cameron & Gordon Brown. He claimed a one off payment (approx half) of a £65,000 payout from the House of Commons to help adjust to life outside of politics (seriously??) and will collect two further pensions of more than £50,000/yr for his service as an MP/MSP (figures obtained under FoI). Not forgetting his state pension, winter fuel allowance and free bus pass. Welcome to the cost of Independence.
