In fact, the American people have relied on dogs for many services. One of which is to help locate a missing person. Dogs can help detect seizures before they happen. Dogs can even help detect low blood sugars. Dogs also help comfort children with Autism as well. With all the wonderful and amazing service these dogs do for the American people, folks are wondering how they can show their appreciation. Dog owners and lovers alike are speaking up and asking that October 11th to be declared as National “Mankind’s Best Friends Day.” This day will be to celebrate all the wonderful and amazing services these animals provide. There should be a dog parade on this day. The parade should be led by these service animals. In this parade businesses can make their own floats to show what their favorite service the animals provide is. Even school children can help with making floats to put in the parade. Pet stores should offer extra discounts on this day. There should be an award ceremony to present these animals with metals to honor all that they do. The American people can get involved by doing their dogs’ favorite activities on this day as well. Folks can have a dinner party for their animals. People can make the animals’ favorite meals and snacks to serve at this party. People can even buy them a new special “thank you for all you do” toy. On this day schools should also take the time to teach children all the different types of dogs and different services these animals provide. With all the dog owners and lovers in America, this special day will boost the awareness of the services these amazing animals provide. It will also boost sales with in return will help the local business and the economy. This special day will also teach everyone how important these animals are to people’s everyday lives. Once again, the American people are asking for a National “Mankind’s Best Friends Day”. This is a day to honor all the amazing and wonderful things mankind’s best friends’ do. Let’s face it, these animals are most folks first and true best friends. Thanks for your time and consideration of this national holiday.
