my friend just sold a painting in a bond street gallery for £10,000. she got just under £2,000. THAT is why i am reticent about signing with any of the agencies who are now approaching me now... and before you all say thats wrong, nobody ever takes that much you are living in the 70s and 80s and dont know IT IS like that now. fact. that is why right now i sell them myself. if a good deal comes my way i will sign. these days all types of artists have little or no chance. as more n more world famous rock icons get chucked of their lifelong record labels, the rick enough ones just develop a label of their own and then make money off the bands they sign. they become the corporate fat cats. what happens to THE OTHER ONES?
