my gift of love the madness within is slowly subsiding fading into the mists of the unknown where it belongs… i have often debated with myself tried so hard to soothe my troubled soul i have even befriended this dark intruder yes, my soul, you have often rebelled like a newborn you wept, only to be held but alas, there came no resolve for there were times when the madness within took control, these were indeed dark and forbidding times… and when i lost my footing on the path, the great path leading to sanity i fell and landed in hell. yet i managed to escape the maddening crowd the band of demons that tore relentlessly at my weakened soul, my outcry grew so very loud that my soul grew stronger … effortlessly i took a stand and was free once more free from the chains that held me to the ground for an eternity I could not weep but now tears of joy ran down my face… * * * in the blissful aftermath of my awakening whilst walking on the beaten path of my memory i stumbled upon a crystal ball which i held to my heart as I gazed into the centre of it its warmth caressed my fingertips yet a chill ran up my spine for what I saw made me quiver… my eyes held you once more your golden hair bathed in the morning sun as beautiful a creature as creation itself were you my heart pounded to the rhythm of life itself you were picking strawberries in a field of dreams a field filled with charms of magic you looked up at me and your eyes shun with delight we embraced and kissed … the ferryman took us across indeed the scoundrel eased our haste and took us to the land of love for his lost soul was redeemed on the wings of love we flew time was unbound with our tender kiss it no longer had to go on with its tick tick tick yet our kiss lasted an eternity an eternity my love you whispered softly to me an eternity of love …
