my response to being blocked from that site on sunday......................... Hello Dean, I just wanted to drop you a line about the incident that happened on Sunday on your page, initially I was responding to an anti Islamic comment that i saw,[I have seen a few other remarks but had let them go] ,now I do realize that the page is a not a forum for political debate and its fine that im now blocked from it,because I cant say I wouldnt challenge it again,but I had seen that you yourself had posted that any racism would not be tolerated,and so I decided to challenge it,as bigotry does need challenging whatever level it rears its ugly head,or it is just left to carry on like its acceptable or the norm ,which it most definitely is not.At no time was I abusive yet it didnt take long for the abuse to come at me,unsurprisingly..! I was called a prick and a twat etc,was told when I said that I was indeed Muslim myself not to bring my lies and hate regime to their town and that their children would be learning about their own culture,as I in fact work in education I pointed out that it is common practice for children to be educated in the ways of a multicultural and a multiracial society,I pointed out many many Muslim doctors, footballers,celebrities etc Ive got to say Dean that I was left quite upset and shaken by the whole thing ,I am sorry that it had come out on that page but hey like I say it does need challenging,I would have appreciated being contacted about it rather than just blocked [and I felt like I was the one who had been wronged,though im sure that the racists would claim the same] and I do hope that the other members who were abusive are also blocked. I was enjoying the page as an ex Kingstonian and the trip down memory lane and well done for putting it on,good luck..also lastly I was private messaged by someone from the page in support of what I was saying who themselves have been to scared as victims of racial abuse themselves to challenge it,probably because they still live in the area,just saying.
