The situation is far more advanced than what most people are aware and it has been going on for centuries The IMF and world banks have deliberately sunk nations into suffocating debt through dam building and nuclear power plants projects in an effort to bankrupt weaker countries. The destruction caused by dams to a region is not broadly known but these structures are in most cases not needed and are catastrophic to the habitat. With only 4% of the redwoods remaining and the awe and splendor of millions of years of evolution is really what is at stake.
