needless to say i am NOT a fan! It is with great disgust and disappointment that I find myself typing this. On Saturday late afternoon on 11/10/2014 I purchased a Box of BraaiMix at Chesa Nyama in Ladysmith KZN. The lady at the counter was very helpful and kept insisting over and over that if I had any problems with the food what so ever I should please come back to them. This in itself I found a little strange but wrote it off as good customer service. Upon arriving at home I promptly dished our meal out to our family and devoured my portion. My two young children at this point where picking at theirs and only when I cleared up did I notice MAGGOTS in their meat (this is two hours Max since the meal was purchased). At this point I had finished mine already, my two young kids had had a go at theirs and thankfully my wife was still to eat. I live 30 minutes away from town and was not, at this point, prepared to drive back to town to return the food. Please see herewith video of the maggot on a piece of the wors I purchased. This is completely unacceptable!!! I have already taken this up with Management and sent them the same video however I seem to have been brushed off as they are yet to get back to me. I have been waiting for them to get back to me on this serious (well I would consider it so) complaint since 12pm. It is now almost 5pm and I have yet to hear from anyone at Chesa Nyama. I have since taken this up with our local newspaper and will shortly be placing a complaint on hello peter. At this point I’m actually not too sure how this can be resolved as I will surely not be eating at Chesa Nyama Ladysmith again even if I was offered a free meal as compensation. In actual fact I will make sure I inform everyone I know that the food I received there was a health hazard at a stretch. In ending I implore you to insist that such complaints be handled in a very serious light and at the same time carry out a thorough inspection of this particular store so that this does not happen again in the future. As I said you will not be seeing me again however I’m sure there is still a number of future customers you are not willing to lose in this manner. I do expect a reply on this matter though as a matter of urgency and a simple apology in the least
