The only defense being mounted is by Leftist politicians, Leftist political hacks within the media and the GOP establishment. The morals, ethics, principles and ideology of conservatism IS the Tea Party, right here, right now. The mainstream GOP establishment ought to understand that by now, but hasnt the balls to stand up and grow some political courage. Rather, these political dinosaurs feel way too comfortable with what they feel is a good thing and a good place for THEM. They would rather not disrupt THEIR political lifestyles, and if they have to make deals with Democrats (that go against the grain of conservatism) to stay in power that is what they will do. And that is precisely the problem with the GOP establishment; that is the dilemma; that is the reason for the Civil War raging within the Republican Party. What neither Leftist Democrats (politicians and the media), nor mainstream Republicans want to grasp is that the Tea Party, or at least Tea Party conservatism, is not a passing fad. Its a revolution, and one that frustrates and confounds those that do not want to see this reality. While the Republican Party replaced the Whig Party, the Tea Party will not replace the Republican Party, but it WILL replace the current centrist political ideology that is festering within the GOP establishment, making the Republican Party stronger, more focused and courageous and more able to eloquently and intellectually articulate the issues that conservatives consider core and fundamental. The 2014 mid-term elections will see to this, as the next crop of Tea Party Republicans win, keeping the House and regaining the Senate. After this happens, and for the next two years, working up towards the 2016 Presidential election, it becomes imperative for these Republicans to hold their ground, prevent Democrats from advancing any legislation that will continue to burden and harm America, and to introduce legislation of their own that will reverse the legislation that Democrats have passed, unhindered, unchecked for years, that have laid waste to America. Republicans must also work to take back the Presidency. Only then can we begin to abolish and repeal and tear down the walls Democrats have built to keep Americans imprisoned in and enslaved to, government dependence. At all times we must fight. But in doing so, we must also remember that substance always wins over emotions.
