now bengalis are defending lynch mobs on national media. yes, BENGALIS.......its not enough to talk about TMC......because the bengali people have installed them on the throne. public threats to employ rapists,....arresting Ambikesh Mahapatra and Shiladitya, fuelling terror and communal hatred,.....and now open support to lynch mobs and a not-covert-at-all endorsement of the HEINOUS anti-Sikh riot......this is the true face of Bengal, o ghost of Jibanananda......i hate myself for being a bengali....yesterday, when this TMC spokesperson openly supported the lynch mob of Chandipur on Arnab Goswamis show, the poor Arnab kept saying, Oh, i cant imagine....... yes, no one can imagine to what nadir we the bloody bengalis can stoop.....we support lynch mobs and take out road shows in support of thieves and criminals.....dont blame just TMC....e amar e tomar pap......and the kolkata leftists are just deplorable.....i heard no public condemnation of the bengal ministers open celebration of anti-sikh riots from these putatively anti-communal intellectuals.....uncivilized barbaric race that we are, we should at least try to outgrow our nasty Bengali chauvinism. JU is finished. presidency will soon be finished. in my moms college a student had beat up a professor and was supported by the TMCP. my moms colleague did not dare to go the police, because she has a little son and her husband stays in a different city.......only rapists, goons and criminals can roam freely in this hell......and every single bengali who thinks that this state is normal is a sinner. yes, SINNER! the student who beat my moms colleague was never booked on the charge of attempt to murder. WHY? and what about that TMC woman who went to a doctor and slapped him? are all common people dogs and pigs? their cheeks are dust bins, i guess! and my JU Kolorobis, you did not make (so much) kolorob when Kamduni happened, and you dont speak up against the open justification of lynch mobs that is being aired by the rulers......if your Kolorob is only against the JU VC then you too are sinners. that man is only a symptom of the larger political evil of Bengal. please dont engage in a research as to whether that student was ABVP or RSS......this is immaterial.....if you keep silent after hearing the open defence of the Anti-Sikh riot, you are as communal as the islamic jihadist groups or the brahminical nonsense-mongers. in my town there was a school for sikh children, and one of my relatives, a local social worker, related to me how horrible and gruesome the anti-sikh riot, instigated by the Congress people, was. the walls of that school remained blood-stained for many years.......yes, we should remember this. and if this spontaneous public fury theory is accepted, then you have to justify the Gujarat riot too. i am happy that Arunabha Ghosh mentioned this point. i never liked Anandabazar Patrika much, but now i cant help appreciating their journalistic honesty and courage. and again, i publicly express my HATRED for the intellectuals like Subodh Sarkar who swiftly change sides and support violence and criminality. Mr Sarkar, Sikh blood is biological blood and not chemical blood....would you teach secularism and tolerance to your new bosses? and again, to my Jadavpurians, dont think your myopic view of Bengal will save you.....i heard irrational praise of TMC from many people at JU at the juncture of poribartan.....so, its absurd to monolithicize JU as a haven of democracy. a JUDE teacher is appearing on the news channels to praise the current regime, and nobody dares to point to his past......not even the Kolorobis. disgusting! i always told my North Indian friends and students that bengal might lack in development but not in democratic temper. now i realize, much to my consternation, horror, and guilt feeling, THAT I HAVE ALSO SINNED. and again, though i dislike CPM profoundly and my quarrel with my leftist father is an everyday affair at my home, i must acknowledge that they at least maintained communal harmony and made possible a somewhat secular environment, which this regime has totally ruined. while Bangladesh is progressing towards a truly tolerant secular and democratic future, west bengal is crawling towards medieval barbarism. there was always an indigenous, unique, bengali tradition of religious pluralism which, instead of being energized and vitalized, has been completely ruined. it wont do to mark BJP as a scapegoat, the nasty ploy the leftists and congress have always engaged in to wash their dirty hands. a greater introspection is necessary. besides, many Brahminicists i know personally are quite happy in this TMC regime, because they are being given enough rewards.....this is a bizarre political hodgepodge......the government arrests Asif Khan, and when he accuses the TMC leaders, claims that he is talking nonsense, but when Madan Mitra is arrested, the govt says BJP is doing communalism. i dont find the logic. is Mitra a minority person? i read on some online news portal that Anubrata Mandal or someone like him (all of them are the same) said only the most corrupt segments of the minority are moving to BJP. so, the true minority would, from now on, be certified by the majority (Is Anubrata Minority?) and if you are minority but dont support TMC, you are not real minority. if you are SC/ST/OBC you can be certified as such only if TMC gives you the certificate. this is the same mentality as reflected in Azam Khans notorious comment that the genes of the Muslim supporters of BJP need to be tested. Is this SECULARISM? this barbaric hypocrisy is not only a hallmark of Indian politicians but also of the Indian intellectuals. and Rahul Gandhi, certified as a goody by PROFESSOR Amartya Sen (whom the icon-obsessed Bengalis are much fond of), is planning to hijack Hindu vote from BJP. probably they will come up with the idea of some Hindu reservation, just as they tried to compensate for the UP riot with Jath reservation. recently an SP leader, a brahmin, has accused Modi of being anti-brahminical. is this the proper attitude of a secular party? and is this the secularism for which TMC-Subodh-Sarkar-secularists are ready to join hands with Mulayam? the Mulayam-Mamata nexus is the most unholy political nexus in the country. and defending it in the name of secularism is a sin and a trampling of secularism, democracy and minority (or rather HUMAN) rights. i think if there are any sincere public intellectuals left in West Bengal and UP, they should strive to make these issues international. the state of UP and West Bengal is comparable to that of the most restless socio-political scenarios of the world. and only an international, UN intervention can solve these matters. all national level interventions will be marked by the leftist/TMC/Congress/Subodh Sarkarists as communalist/BJP-invented and so on, and hence, only an international intervention will do. its not that the international community does not know about the situation in Bengal, but still, they need to be more deeply involved in the human rights issues in Bengal. Arnab Goswami used a good phrase, TMC planet. but we who dont wish to inhabit it should be allowed to relate to the real planet. is anybody seriously thinking of the necessity of this international intervention? by the way, our beloved Prof Sen, who gave the wonderful certificate to Rahul Gandhi and ruined the Nalanda University by gifting it with a worthless VC able to compete with Abhijit Chakrabarty, should sprinkle some of his precious bachanamrita on the current state of Bengal. he has always been concerned with very big issues and considers himself to be a moral custodian of the spirit of Indian democracy. but Bengal is his native place, and he should make some comments on what is going on here. or does he also find it necessary to encourage the hypocritically secular alliance of TMC and Mulayam? i am wondering what his next book on justice would be like. will he co-author it with Rahul Gandhi and demand a Hindu reservation as a panacea for the BJP-menace?
