now i NEVER do politics but i hope this isnt true..ing from a huge family in SoMd (The county) and knowing so many people that rely on agriculture as a way of income this makes ME SICK and i want to find this lady and since i will never hit a woman, find a man she is close to and beat his ass... The Monsanto Protection Act was just signed by the president and it will effectively bar US federal courts from being able to halt the sale or planting of genetically engineered (GE) crops even if they failed to be approved by the governments own weak approval process and no matter what the health or environmental consequences might be... And here is the part that makes me pissed !! The Center for Food Safety writes that it was Senator Barbara Mikulski, the Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee (D-MD), who allowed the legislation to move forward without hearings and without bringing it in front of the Agriculture or Judiciary Committees. “In this hidden backroom deal, Senator Mikulski turned her back on consumer, environmental, and farmer protection in favor of corporate welfare for biotech companies such as Monsanto,” Andrew Kimbrell, Executive Director of the Center for Food Safety, said in a statement. I really hope this isnt true bc the most honest living is that of a farmer and this is just a slap into their face...its hard enough for these families to survive...If this is true i will say this, i hope that Sen. Mikulski gets her ass beat by a female farmer and i am sickened to know i am from and live in the state this lady represents ... again i could be wrong and i hope i am and i will take back what i said but i have a feeling this is real...
