oh, Placebo. how you spook me so, with your distinct capability of breaking me down and reducing me to tears. i was talking about this with my husband yesterday, and he made a good point. Brian Molko and i suffer from the same mental illness. i think this is why his lyrics hit home for me so often. I GET IT. i understand so much of his suffering. in the same vein - Brian is also an addict and a bit of a sociopath. while i am not those things, i have been in relationships with both - so when he writes about being an abuser, it cuts me to the bone. i feel like i am seeing inside the minds of those that have hurt me - and it makes me ache. let me explain:
