...ok. I get the part where : The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings his mother to shame. Proverbs 29:15 ...but. If you speak to your child with love and explain to him why u do the things u do.... THE RESULTS WILL BE WAY BETTER and give you as a parent a sence of PRIDE for then your kids wont just do what you ask of them in spite but do WITH LOVE AND UNDERTANDING THAT U REALLY DO LOVE THEM. WHY DO WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND LATER IN OUR YEARS AS A GROWN UP THAT what our parents were doing was in our best interest? Wouldn’t it be better and to our advantage to understand NOW as a CHILD and BENEFIT much more about life then to UNDERTSAND LATER and have lived with a sence that our parents were “MEAN” to us??? Just a thought: Isnt a rod is best used to POINT OUT THE REASONS WHY, LIKE A REAL TEACHER, RATHER THAN TO HURT AND PUNISH WITHOUGHT AN UNDERTSNADING WHY? Were NOT in medieval times anymore. Back then, ok, we were still in need of a lot of understanding. ITS WHY JESUS CAME..HE DIED AS AN EXAMPLE OF HIS LOVE TO US...HE DIDNT PUNISH US WITH A ROD. Now...we are more EVOLVED AND MENTALY AWARE thanks to (unfortunately) T.V., news and just life in general. Those means forced our brains to mature more rapidly...hence no more need for the Rod in punishment. I think were past being ANIMALS. Did Jesus Christ use the rod to teach us like animals??? Nope...he used the HOLY SPIRIT to give him wisdom to be able to EXPLAIN why!!!!!! MAYBE THATS THE PROBLEM...WE DONT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN WHY to our children. So in reality, where is the real problem? THINK ABOUT IT. Get back to me and educate me...TEACH ME WHERE YOU THINK I AM WRONG. ILL REPECT IT... PROMISE.
