ok I have been reading a lot about everything either being delivered around the end of September/beginning of October or training being finished or certifications being done by then, but the thing that stuck with me was the daily testing of emergency broadcast stations. Now it seems to me that the purpose behind the emergency broadcasts was to get your attention QUICKLY and then relay information and I know in our house when we hear that tone, we all hush and pay attention. Well yesterday we were driving around doing errands and all of a sudden, the tone comes blaring out of the radio, then the song comes back on, then the tone goes off again, and then the song comes back on and stays on. There was NO more information and it happened around 2 p.m. central time. Now the only reason I can see to daily test the system is to get us to start IGNORING it. So that when it is used and information is given, it will be ignored and we can be taken by surprise. Now I was not listening today, but I know I have a LOT of friends out here that listen to the radio and I was wondering if any of you heard the test, either yesterday or today, and go ahead and comment if you hear it everyday. This is just too much a coincidence for me.
