ok, I have to rant a little. According to a news blurb there was another occasion of parents at a high end restaurant in Chicago with a screaming baby. In America we are overwhelmed with rude people. Can I just say that just because it is your right as a consumer to eat your dinner with your child (screaming or no) or just because it is your right to deny customers entry into your establishment or just because it is your right to eat a $2 or a $200/plate dinner does not make it your right to be rude. Everyone is filled with self justification of its my rights forgetting that other people have the exactly same rights and we should instead be more thoughtful of each other. Parents, if your child is hungry, tired, bored, or sick please take your child home. Discipline them if necessary. Dont ignore the screams, it is not cool to ignore your childs needs or let them run around the restaurant/store disturbing everyone else. The other people have rights too, teach your kids to be considerate by being a good example of thoughtfulness. If you are sitting next to a family with screaming children, be polite, they are customers too, and probably you had (or will have one day) kids or grandkids behaving just like that. And as a restaurant owner, be kind, add chicken nuggets and French fries or pizza to your menu, provide crayons and pictures to color to help parents entertain kids. These are customers too. Kids need higher dining experiences to expand their minds. Be kind. Be considerate. Stop making excuses and raise your children, treat others as you expect them to treat you.
