ok, last night that shit was cray! hella cold, 30 degrees, windy and very choppy, like a pot of boiling water. wow, it was rocking back and forth, rolling to and fro, and the swells were so high, the anchor outs pass by me on their way to their boats, (home) and in this weather they have nothing but a shallow row boat, so a guy tows them with his motor skiff, a small one, they pass by me, and they were struggling against the tides, and winds, and swells, I actually yelled out the window at them saying, woohoo, ride em! cowboy. minutes later , a call on the emergency channel for coast guard reports...two people capsized and are in the water. their skiff sunk, they were in the 50 degree water, coast guard calling for mariner assistance,I ran to the end of the dock and saw one guy in the water, I knew him, he had jumped into the water, to rescue the sunken skiffs, he then jumped back into his boat, after having tied the sunke skiffs to his boat. then on the radio I heard someone picked up,the other two PIWs thankfully, and I called on the radio to offer my hot shower and some dry clothes to warm up the two. To which I have not heard about their conditions. wild, wild wild. and I m just sittin on the dock of the bay, watchin the tide roll away.
