okay. ive just removed someone from the page because they keep posting claims that the page is alienating people not of scottish birth. id like to point out that at no point has this page EVER made a comment about anyone based on where they were born, the colour of their skin, not even about religion. we, like most of the yes campaign, consider scottish identity to be a civic one, which incorporates anyone, of any ethnicity or birthplace, who wishes to identify as scottish, and who wants scotland to do the very best it can, as a country, and for its populace. scottish not british refers to these things. 1.) the fact that in an independent scotland, our citizenship would be scottish, not british. 2.) identification with scottish identity rather than british identity 3.) preference for the sort of societal model espoused by scots and scottish politics/political aspirations, over the non-societal model espoused by westminster. nothing more. we welcome everyone and anyone, even some no voters ( if they arent here just to troll and cause arguments.). ethnicity/race/religion/nationality, is not an issue here. ( well ok, religion might be if someone starts getting preachy, ill nip THAT right in the bud, but otherwise, dont care about it. ) with regret, future occurences of the same sort of allegation will earn instant removal from the page, because quite frankly, it smacks to me of a no voter trying to foster division and perpetuate the no camps claims of the independence movement being blood and soil nationalism, which i am not prepared to tolerate, as it is patently untrue.
