okay, so some of you will prolly shoot me for saying all this but Im going to anyways. I love Vampire Diaries, and I really enjoyed the Twilight series. Now take into account what each different species of vampire has at their disposal. Killing the Vampire Diaries variety: Wooden stake through the heart Catch on fire in sunlight (unless wearing a daylight ring) White oak stake though their original Killing the Twilight variety: Rip apart and burn the remains Advantages of V.D. version: speed strength deceptively cunning? immortal compulsion Super hearing Advantages of Twilight version: Immune to sunlight skin as hard as/made of diamond like material speed strength telepathy/empathy/mental shielding/forsight (sometimes and depending on who you are) immortal Overly Venomous bite? They way the two different version of vampires are put together actually make twilight vampires harder to kill than well any other version of vampire out there. The thing in a Damon vs. Edward fight is that Edward has the ability to see what others are thinking. Though it can be argued that Damon doesnt really think when he attacks, it would still take more time for Damon to rip Edward apart and burn him than it would take Edward to stab Damon through the heart or remove Damons daylight ring. Now as much as I love Damon, there are only two people that would back him up in this fight. Stephen and Alana. Edward has his whole family of 8 plus Jake that would back him up. Because we all know in both realities that those that care always come running to the aid. So even though I dont particularly care for the sparkliness of the Twilight vamps I honestly believe they would win a fight against other vampires, Damon included.
