A home where he was loved and cared for-- and he was happy there too. Duke is blind and it was nice to know where everything was by feel in his home. He felt comfortable and safe. He knew his way around. Then the unthinkable happened and his owner died. How sad for this mellow fellow! And just like that Duke finds himself in a cold kennel at the ACC with terrifying sounds all around. How horrifying for this 5 years young pit bull mix. How will he find his way around now? Duke is a suede-like brown and white color with a slightly muscular physique. He has a wide-open face that says “take me I’m yours!” Duke does not let his vision impairment get him down—putting his best paw forward the ACC staff dubbed him to be “alert, response, hydrated.” Nice job Duke! Whatever possessed the ACC staff to put 58 pound Duke on the kill list tonight? We can’t let this happen! Please let’s find a home for this blind gentleman as he has many years left to give. Duke is relying on us to pave the way for him out of the ACC. We are his voice and his only hope! Do it now because tomorrow is too late . Duke will be gone if we delay!
