on 06/30/1980 my freedom from plymouth center was freedon living in a state home for handicap people in the 50s and 60s; for 12 1/2 years of my life with 100 people on a ward with 8 bedrooms 35 handicap people each bedroom with 4 state workers on a ward to a building. plymouth center had 14 buildings on the plymouth center grounds 1 building was for cooking, 1 building for free time and game rooms, 1 buiding was for sick people and a courtroom and a room to test your ears out to see if you can hear right and a o. r. room to fix people if you get hurt any where on your body and a room to get your theeth work on if your theeth was bad. 11 bulding was for people to live on 24 hours 7 days a week; some of the building had 8 wards in them with 200 handicap people all kinds of handicap people on the ward with 6 state workrs each ward. my time at plymouth center was good and bad times for most time from 7 years old to 19 years old with some family time with 2 familys 1 family live livonia, mi. and 2nd. family live in det., mi.. i went on weekends with both familys most of the time. this is my freedom from 1967 living in the community to go into a state home for the handicap and coming back to the community on 06/30/1980 going into a group on 06/30/1980 and living on my own with some help from family and friends and home staff from 09/19/1985 to 07/04/2014 so far that is my freedom. :)
