(on 2015 national budget):I think the most drastic thing we have to do as a nation is to bear with the removal of the petrol subsidy. Its being abused more than it helps. The government needs to remove it, and start giving cash directly to the people that needs it through BR1M. And by the people that need it, Im talking about those families earning less than RM4,000 a month, singles earning RM2,000 a month. It needs to stop. And that money needs to go to better infrastructure for public transport. This means more trains, more rails and more stations out to the outskirts of Klang Valley and also reaching intracity. More buses for the BRT and also for intercity travel. We need that money from somewhere and if were going to subsidise travel, we should subsidise those who give that money back to the public through public transport, not those who prefer to ride alone in cars,
