on Saturday November 16 from 2-4, OTS will host a pistol cleaning workshop presented by Castellum Development. Surprisingly, many people own a handgun but are not familiar with performing most basic cleaning and maintenance. This hands-on class conducted by former law enforcement officers will teach you how to field strip, clean, lubricate and function test your pistol. A well-maintained firearm is a long-lasting one. Prepare to get your hands oily and dirty in this informative class. Cost is $30 pp. Topics covered include: *Proper cleaning tools and products. *Disassembling of a pistol and instruction on how to properly clean it. *Reassembling of a pistol under the direction of the instructor. *Safe function testing of a pistol. *Sample low cost kits you can put together. *Home storage and security of your pistol. We will supply all of the cleaning materials and tools needed for this class. Youll just need to bring your unloaded pistol (one person) in a case. We just need to know model and make of the pistol you’re bringing. NOTE: If you do not own a pistol, but still want to learn basic cleaning and maintenance skills, the instructor can provide a pistol for use in the class for a small fee.
