on behalf of the Progressive Youth alliance we are pleased by the recent outcome of allowing our students to access their academic record as we have asked and advocated for. however we are also pleased by the populist approach of the SRC to report on our victories as students while they were silent when we didint have academic record we are pleased merely because as the PYA we are leading them, we think and implement and them they publicize. what happened to the constitutional obligation of the SRC to represent students to promote academic excellence to promote transparency within the campus. the SRC constitution should guide us at all times and it clearly stipulate that the SRC must hold atleast one mass meeting in a term as we close the term today we had seen nothing from the SRC. we hereby request the SRC to go and claim and proclaim the gains of the PYA here is the list: 1. All NSFAS students we allowed to register regardless of how much they owe 2. New students were given NSFAS 3. students with sponsors were allowed to register 4. Students with or without firm offers were accommodated 5. Buses had been increased 6. disable students were allocated meals 7. students were able to buy books at Adams 8. Meals and books allowance is activated 9. Academic record were accessible 10. students were allowed to do in service training at D- parking 11. refurbishment of lecture halls 12. etc we are humble by the respect and trust that our students perpetually give us and we will continue to fight for our students even if the SRC claim the students victories. however the struggle still continues as we still advocate for the following: 1. lockers in killarney 2. refrigerators at Colonial 3. continuation of installation of refrigerators main campus 4. removing Pre tech 5. Advance programs in all departments 6. Qualified lectures 7. online registration 8. able to buy at Shoprite n Spar 9. infrastructure that is welcoming to disable students claim no easy victory never sell students out, never divorce student during registration then think u will re join with them now. the struggle is for students no one else bu students nothing for students without students. aluta continua!!!!!! uruh!!!!! MAtlaaa!!!!!!
