one of the Famous 8th Air Force Williams: Captain William T Whisner poses in his P-51D-10-NA s/n 44-14237 Moonbeam Mcswine 487th Fighter Squadron 352nd Fighter Group holding up 6 fingers as he claimed 6 kills on 21st November 1944 when he attacked a large Formation of FW-190s his first kill earlier that year January 29th to be exact whilst flying a P-47 on escort duty to B-17s a Fw-190 shot down a B-17 and he in turn shot down that Fw-190 down.
