This is the part of CLIMATE CHANGE effect we ignore at our own peril. Extreme high density urbanization living exaggerates the temperature impact of climate change which is further aggravated by man-made haze from forest fire – the phenomenon of “urban heat island effect” – urban environment absorbs more heat in day but have little opportunity to cool off at night. Productivity will fall and energy costs of sustaining life escalating – how can Singapore possibly sustain 6.9 million or more WITHOUT AGGRAVATING THE FALLING PRODUCTIVITY IMPACT ON GDP AND ITS GROWTH. It is a stupid dog chasing its own tail to futility except perhaps growing the vote bank of corrupt political interests. SINGAPOREANS MUST STOP THIS AT ALL COSTS.
