#paducah June 9, 2014: 11 AM update - Some changes on todays forecast - precipitation should redevelop from southwest to northeast later today. Believe most of it will hold off until later this afternoon. Changing todays forecast to scattered precipitation early this afternoon becoming more widespread towards evening. Weak instability should keep the severe weather threat minimal. No changes on that part of the forecast. PWAT values are high. That all boils down to at least a chance for a few heavy thunderstorms and maybe one or two severe storms (again the severe risk is minimal). Temperatures will average near to below normal over the coming days. Cloud cover will help keep temperatures down a bit. Forecast details... Monday - Scattered showers redeveloping from the southwest - then more widespread showers and thunderstorms developing after 3 pm (moving in from the southwest). High temperatures around 75 degrees. East winds at 5-10 mph. Monday night - Showers and thunderstorms likely. Heavy downpours possible. Low temperatures in the middle 60s. Southeast winds at 10 mph. Tuesday - Showers and thunderstorms likely. High temperatures in the middle to upper 70s. South/southeast winds at 10-20 mph. Tuesday night - A chance for showers and thunderstorms. Overnight lows will be in the 60s. South winds at 5-10 mph. Wednesday - Scattered thunderstorms possible. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s. South winds at 10-15 mph.
