people always ask me why i enjoy music festivals so much and its something you cant really explain, you have to experience one to understand...people who have never been to one argue that they either; don’t enjoy crowd’s, it’s too loud, uncomfortable...filthy or all of the above, and they may be right, but its also something unlike anything else you’ll ever do...the atmosphere is like an electrically charged stadium full of supporters (PLUR) everyone is a friend and the sense of community and camaraderie in the thousands of people you’re sharing the festival bubble with is a brilliant display of humanity at its best...suddenly, for a few days, this mass of people is one big family...with not a care in the world on your appearance seeing as you are all covered in mud up to your neck, the only decent shower youve had is the one where you used baby wipes, and stuck your head under the water filling station on the first day after you set up camp...others dont judge the way you dance, as a matter of fact they join you...youve lost all your friends and have no way of contacting them because your phone died within the first few hours of even arriving, but end up at a neighboring campers site for the night and create fulfilling memories with them or you join camp sites with your neighbors and create one massive kick ass hangout that everyone wants to join...you dont get any sleep but the two hour nap you took at five in the morning because the tent was crowded and too hot, which left you outside enjoying the stars and listening to everyone yell WHERES CARL?! over and over again...something others would find annoying yet found yourself joining in on...and not to mention all the creativity you see, from totem poles to costumes and flags and signs...to the actual venue itself its one big fantasy land that i find myself not wanting to leave...i could go on and on about how i feel like i can be myself at music festivals or how wiz and snoop dog puts it young wild & free but im going to leave it at...thank you mom and dad for the summercamp music festival and country USA tickets, im blessed with amazing parents that let me live my life the way i want and music festivals are a huge part of who i am
