people seem to get open-mindedness confused with gullibility, and closed-mindedness with skepticism.. open-mindedness is being open to novelty and the unorthodox, not blind faith (uninformed opinion).. closed-mindedness is being intolerant of the beliefs and opinions of others, not dubiety (being doubtful or uncertain).. in a way, the self-proclaimed open-minded people are actually really just closed-minded people trying to put on a front.. it shows when you are intolerant of skeptical opinions, questions, and doubts..
