(Perris, CA, January 17, 2015) Don Kazarian, longtime promoter at Perris Auto Speedway, was named the “Promoter of the Year,” by the North American Non-Winged Sprint Car voting panel. The announcement was made Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals. The poll is conducted by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa. The annual award is voted on by media members, promoters, sanctioning officials and manufacturers. Kazarian was named “USAC Promoter of the Year” a decade ago, but this is the first time to receive the coveted honor from the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. This award really goes to everyone on the staff at Perris Auto Speedway. They all work very hard to make the track and its events the success they are today.” The award comes at a very special time for Kazarian and the track. 2015 will mark the 20th season of racing at the popular Riverside County racing facility.
