pin:231B0D40»» •MGN-AFRICA» Capital market trade groups fault CISI bill at Senate: Trade groups in the Nigerian capital market have asked the Senate Committee on Capital Market to prevail on the Upper Chamber not to pass the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) Bill 2013 in its present form. The new bill sponsored by Ganiyu Solomon, former chairman of the Senate Committee on Capital Market, aims to establish the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) that would replace the current Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS). The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers is made up of ten trade groups currently operating in the capital market. The trade groups that raised alarm on the present state of the bill are Association of Asset Custodians of Nigeria, Association of Corporate Trustees, Association of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers, Association of Pension Operators of Nigeria, Capital Market Solicitors Association, Financial Market Dealers Association, Fund Managers Association of Nigeria, and Institute of Capital Market Registrars. » bit.ly/19qZv3w @officialMGN
