please read this is for everyone that might be interested. not just for the visually impaired. this is a time of change for a new career and to work from home. “MY VISION STATEMENT” This is a letter of my vision statement to help build a company that will employ people that are visually impaired. I myself am visually impaired and I was able to conquer obstacles that seemed impossible to the sighted world. I have already started the company and right now I am in the foundation stage of this company. This is a company that is involved in the trucking industry. The name of this company is LAARGEIN CHARGE FREIGHT SERVICES. This company is a freight brokering company. The job of a freight broker is to be a representative for a shipper and a motor carrier. The broker will establish a relationship with a shipper who has freight that needs to be transported from point “A” to point “B”. The broker will then goes out and find a motor carrier to haul that freight at a reasonable rate. I do realize and understand that the visually impaired deserve to have a career. The trucking industry is a career move that will never die out. There will always be freight to haul and that means that there will always be a job for the visual impaired. Here is a little information about myself. Back in January of 1991 I attended a truck driving school. I attended the M T A Trucking School in Elizabethtown, Pa. The school lasted for 10 weeks. I graduated in the top 5 of my class. In June of 1991 I received my first over the road truck driving job. That was the beginning of my 21 year career. I established a lot of knowledge of the trucking industry. The last time I was in a truck was 2009. I lost my eye site and my life took a turn into a different pathway. I am blessed to follow the path of a freight broker. I am able to continue to work in the industry that I love. I learned a lot of computer skills using the JAWS program on the computer. I always tell people that this type of work is so easy that I can do this work with my eyes closed. Honestly I can say that I have a new found respect for the visually impaired. In August of 2012 I received training and was certified as a master broker. I started this company of September of 2012 and I am pretty successful with this new found career and business move. Over the past couple of months I was blessed to come across the pathway of a person that has a vision for this industry also. We conversed about this industry and shared information with one another. I made my decision to contract my company LAARGE IN CHARGE FREIGHT SERVICES under QUALITY LOGISTICS which is owned by Deneene Harris. QUALITY LOGISTICS is not just a freight brokering company; it is also a school for training freight brokering. Here are the details of the setup. LAARGE IN CHARGE FREIGHT SERVICES is a freight brokering agency that is under the authority of QUALITY LOGISTIC which is the master freight brokering company.Quality Logistic has a in house school for training freight brokering. I am honored to be able to take part of this vision teaching this field. I believe that a visual impaired person as myself will be a encouragement to those who are visual impaired. This type of career is for everyone. Any person that wants to come and learn this industry will have 3 choices when they complete the training. If they choose they can work for QUALITY LOGISTICS, work under LAARGE IN CHARGE FREIGHT SERVICES, or they can branch out and start their own agency or their own certified freight brokering company. This is a strong opportunity for the visual impaired to seek a new career change and establish more independents. A lot of schools that teaches this training charge a lot of money. For example when I went to school it cost me $6k for a one on one training session that lasted for 1 week. QUALITY LOGISTICS does not charge nowhere near that amount of money. Deneene Harris is a very understanding person and she has a giving heart. Her cost for this class is $499 per person. The student will complete the class successfully and they will receive a certificate of certification as a Master Broker. I am honored to be part of this training for I will be able to relate to those that are visually impaired. I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge of the trucking industry to the future up a coming Master Freight Brokers. I honestly believe that this is a new way to expand the independent life style of a visually impaired person in the work field of society. Like I said earlier that I am living proof that it could be done. I believe that this letter will help spread the good news for a career of a visual impaired person. I use to say that the sky is the limit, but now I say that Heaven is the limit. Nothing is impossible when you believe and have confidence in yourself.
