please share this for a friend on Facebook ,,,,I have to share this with as many Waterford people as possible tonight and get an awareness out among you all. First I just have to explain what happened to my husband lastnight! He plays in a local well known band and are a very talented hard working bunch of men. After their gig, he was stuck for a taxi, none around the Reg area where he had been playing so he started walking up through town to try to flag a cab but all was busy etc. He turned out on to Manor street where he has many a time before and just at Closegate 5 men surrounded him, punched him and whacked a bottle over his head. He woke up when the ambulance arrived ( a decent couple rang it and helped him out). Brand new phone swiped, cash and wallet with cards etc all taken! 16 stitches and very sore t say the least today, a bit concussed! No doubt is in his mind about the fact that these morons had Romanian accents,he cant recall faces as it was too dark but its no coincidence that apparently theres a family living on Manor St attacking people in this vile inhumane way of late, and people seem aware of them ( amazing the guards are letting them continue their muggings, too busy out busting tax paying hardworkers for tax and insurance shur, yes they were on the ring road today at it). Just be careful walking out that way as they are hiding and jumping out on people on their own! Its only a matter of time before someone ends up with a major life threatening injury, my husband was steeped where he was hit on the head didnt do longterm damage, but will the next guy be so lucky? Since the guards seem to be ignoring whats happening ( and I am actually raging here with the pathetic lack of concern or interested attitude from them about this) so Im using facebook to try to get the word out about these people in this town ( mid 20s btw) with the hope of preventing more of these low life brutal attacks. The days of grown men walking anywhere alone at night are well and truly over here. Tell all your husbands and sons and ladies too of course. Enough said for now I hope.
