preme court decisions on Representation of People act 1951 stepping one stage towards achieving goal of clean and ethical politics that has for long been debated..supreme court activism prominently for section 8 subsec 4 of RP act which now says convicted MPs and MLAs immediately cease to be members of house although they have right to appeal of 3 months(previously immediate ceasation was nt there)..and ammended sec 62 subsect 5 RP act says person whose name has been registered in the electoral roll shall not cease to be elector..it means no person shall be cease to be elector unless and untill he or she to be prooved as convicted...At the end we can say we are proceeding towards Very HEALTHY,WHOLESOME and ROBUST DEMOCRACY tht for our freedom fighters fought for.
