The successful applicant will have several years experience with all aspects of 7284 Plasterers, drywall installers and finishers and lathers Plasterers apply finish, and maintain and restore plaster or similar materials, on interior and exterior walls, ceilings and building partitions to produce plain or decorative surfaces. Drywall installers and finishers install and finish drywall sheets and various types of ceiling systems. Lathers install support framework for ceiling systems, interior and exterior walls and building partitions. They are employed by construction companies and by plastering, drywalling and lathing contractors, or they may be self-employed. Drywalllng in residential and commercial construction. You must be willing to work long hours, as well as weekends when required, job site safety and security must be foremost. There must be great attention to detail while operating within deadlines. Excellent communication skills are required to deal with customer relations, therefore, applicants must be both reliable and respectful, Drywalling duties such as boarding, taping and finish mudding, Ceiling texturing (all types). Plastering, Smoke sealing. Ceiling grid and tile installation and repair. Priming and painting. Additional Skills & Abilities: Able to read blueprints, Bondable. Critical thinking when working with others or independently. Problem solving. Experience with the following would be an asset: Insulating and vapor barrier, Any emergency restoration experience.
