They’ll need your support and cheers, so check out how you can be on the front row. ----- We have some free events where everybody can attain and be part of the group: Thursday 1 Aug: Press conference at 11.30h at Ramada Plaza, Desguinlei, Antwerp where our delegates will show the best of themselves for the assembled international press. Teambuilding/sports challenge with the local police between 14-17h. See how the delegates will work as teams to overcome real life police exercises. They’ll compete against each other which will lead to a winning team. Once the best group has been chosen, they’ll have a final test against each other which will bring forward the winner of this challenge: MGW Sports. Location: Antwerp Police training center, Noorderlaan 500, Antwerp. Guided tour of Antwerp from 18-19.30h. come discover with us the magic of this lovely city, famous for its architecture, history, culture, art, food, shopping, diamonds, etc. We’ll meet each other in front of the town hall on the Grote Markt (city square). Karaoke at Bonaparte after dinner from 22h onwards. Let’s discover together the vocal qualities of our delegates, and why not also yours. Antwerp finest karaoke bar is gay owned, located on the Grote Markt and a big sponsor for MGW, the worldOutgames and Antwerp Pride. Saturday 3 Aug: Tour of the arts exhibit at Zuiderpershuis at 14h. Our delegates will have an arts challenge by creating an exhibition ‘Looking through pink glasses’. They’ll have to visualize LGBT life in their home country on their individual way. This challenge will be judged by the MGW judges and will also become an official exhibition during the entire worldOutgames. At 14h we’ll have a tour of the exhibition led by the delegates explaining their vision etc. Zuiderpershuis, Waalse Kaai, Antwerp. The worldOutgames opening ceremony at Waagnatie at 20h where we’ll have a spectacular show filled with entertainment, the entrance of the worldOutgames athletes and MGW delegates per country (over 104 countries represented) and the Belgian prime minister Elio Di Rupo opening the worldOutgames. We also have more opportunities to be with the delegates. Check the website for the different packages offered, with or without hotel accommodation at the host hotel Ramada Plaza, just some dinners with the delegates and of course we have the Grand Finale not to be missed. Tickets are 30 € and 25 € and we also have a VIP ticket for 95 € including best theatre seats, a high class walking dinner before the show, a meet and greet with the delegates and a diamond cocktail where you might be going home with your personal diamond from the capital of diamonds, Antwerp.
