r/p via jean shervington in a casual conversation some years ago, my aunt said something about jim carrey having emotional issues. (issues in that way that screams for psychological evaluation and a pocketful of meds.) she went on to say that comedians often hide themselves behind comedy. im more inclined to believe that he was interpreting life differently than the people around him. and, maybe, he wasnt altogether sure how to articulate it at that time and/or what to do with it. maybe, issues is what it looks like to those on the outside of his reality. it must have been a really lonely place.
