random thoughts while watching Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier: 1. How the hell did the producers come up with this idea: we need a director for Captain America. How about the guys who did You, Me and Dupree? 2. And yet it paid of spectacularly. Im hoping the Russo brothers were chosen based on their work on Community 3. I just realized that none of the Avengers have secret identities anymore. Thats pretty amazing. 4. Im very lucky to live in an age where they make comics into movies, and where they get it right 85% of the time ( #Daredevil, #GhostRider) 5. Its Abed!!! 6. Cobie Smulders. So smoldering. Bad pun, yes. Screw you. 7. *SPOILERISH BUT NOT REALLY* There were many moments were the audience was cheering. But the only time I exclaimed loudly in the theater was when I saw someones tombstone say The path of the righteous man.... Everyone gave me dirty looks. 8. I am a DC Comics man through and through, but at this rate DC will never catch up. Especially not with Zach pfft Snyder. And Ben Affleck.
