DEVELOPER OF VALIDATION THERAPY TO PRESENT Faith in Action Caregivers and the Altenheim Resource & Referral Center are very excited to announce the co-sponsored program “The Memory Bridge: Creating Meaningful Communication for Those Living with Alzheimer’s Disease” on September 17 & 18, 2013 at Wheeling Jesuit University. Naomi Feil, M.S.W., A.C.S.W, who created Validation Therapy will be our guest presenter, and, Michael Verde, founder and president of Memory Bridge: The Foundation for Alzheimer’s and Cultural Memory” will present the last two hours on September 18. There is a $50 fee for the two-day workshop with an additional $15 fee for continuing education credit for WV Social Workers and WV Registered Nurses. (CEU approval is pending.) The program is intended for nurses, social workers, discharge planners, nursing home and assisted living staff, home health professionals, any other health & human service professionals, AND anyone who is caring for or helping someone who is living with Alzheimer’s disease. A one-day event specifically for clergy will be conducted by Michael Verde on September 19, 2013 at Wheeling Jesuit University.
