I am asking for your support in donating towards my run with the charity organization Team for Kids. As a child my mother always told me anything was possible and when I witnessed her cross the finish line of the NYC marathon in 1988, I realized she wasnt just talking, she meant that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! A single mother, raising 2 children in New York City, working hard, constantly giving back and helping out her community, and still achieving her goals has been a true inspiration in the direction of my own life. We do our best at all times, we set goals and make them our reality. We give back, inspire, and help others achieve their own, and we pass on this order of assistance and inspiration to the next generation. It has always been one of my goals to train and finish the New York City Marathon. Ive been training hard and when November 2nd arrives I will be more than ready! Team for Kids is a team of volunteers who raise funds for critical services provided by New York Road Runners Youth Programs. These programs combat childhood obesity and empower youth development via running and character-building programs in low-income schools and community centers in New York City, throughout the country, and in Africa.
