satan was once an angel in Heaven, in fact, in scripture it hints that he may have been the song/music leader, but because of his prideful nature, he was cast out of Heaven. Because he was cast out, he grew even more hateful & spiteful and wanted to destroy all of Gods children through sin. The apple tree, which you are referring to, may not have even been an apple at all: Eve ate fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Before they partook of this fruit, Adam & Eve did not know what sin was, therefore, there was no sin. God warned them not to eat of this fruit, but the ever tempter, satan, told them “surely you wont die” and tempted Eve to eat it. Once they ate it, they became aware of their nakedness and immediately tried to cover themselves. Now they have knowledge of good & evil, so now they are aware of right & wrong i.e. sin. Before satan talked Eve into eating the forbidden fruit, they were strolling along blissfully without a care in the world. It was never God’s intentions for there to be sin, that was satan’s creation, but God does give us free will to choose to live in sin or to try and live a Holy life.
