#savegeneralpractice The first of the Medicare changes that impact General Practice will be coming into effect in 10 Days time on Monday the 19th of January. Appointment time constraints will mean that your GP may no longer be able to offer same day appointments. Waiting times may also increase. In July your Medicare rebate will be reduced; it will no longer cover all of your fees, even at a bulk billing practice like ours, so you will need to pay the gap out of your own pocket. If you dont like it then we need to change the Governments decision. 10 Days is not a lot of time for us to do that when they havent been listening to GPs for several months.
