several people have said to me, I make $15/hour -- if they raise minimum wage, Ill be making minimum wage. My boss wont raise my pay. Maybe your boss wont right away, but ultimately he/she will have to. If you are doing a skilled job and making minimum wage, you could afford to leave your job and work literally anywhere. Some employers may have to learn this the hard way, but they need your skills -- they will have to pay for them.
