Working class protest is more than just showing up en mass to an event. It is more than gathering in a plaza to chant. That is one dimension of protest in which the Oppressed gather together to make their defiance and resistance visible. But the other part of protest is sitting in meetings, going door to door to share information and gather information. Protest is building political power and collective power. Protest ends when the exploiters are no longer dominant. It ends when a new notion based on democratization of power and resources is the new norm.
