...she was not depressed or stuck or wrong. She, at the time, was very sad, consumed by sorrow, but not because she was grieving incorrectly. The depth of her sadness was simply a measure of the love she had for her daughter. Her loss was now part of her story, her journey, one to claim and cherish, not a painful event to try to put in the past. For this was now a part of her. And will always be. Her child, her daughter, her love object, her heart, her very existence was suddenly and tragically taken, just like that.
