[sic] A part of Greenland had a 5-mile wide of ice 10 years ago. Now, it melted rapidly leaving all this green mountains. It is melting at a rate of about 195 cubic kilometers (47 cu mi) per year. If all of Greenland melts, all of the major cities around the world will sink; 21 to 24-feet deep (7.2 m). ~ VICE To put that into perspective, a one meter sea-level rise would affect 6 million people in Egypt, with some 15% of agricultural land lost, 13 million in Bangladesh with 16% of the national rice production lost, and 72 million in China with tens of thousands of hectares of agricultural land.
