/side quest/ Journey to the ninth circle of hell. Summary of The Nine Circles: (you dont have to read all this but please read the quest details.) Limbo: Where those who never knew Christ exist. Lust: In the second circle of Hell are those overcome by lust. They are the first ones to be truly punished in Hell. These souls are blown back and forth by the terrible winds of a violent storm, without rest. This symbolizes the power of lust to blow one about needlessly and aimlessly. Gluttony: Where those who over-indulge exist. Greed: Those whose attitude toward material goods deviated from the appropriate mean are punished in the fourth circle. They include the avaricious or miserly (including many clergymen, and popes and cardinals) who hoarded possessions, and the prodigal, who squandered them. Anger: In the swampy waters of the river Styx, the wrathful fight each other on the surface, and the sullen lie gurgling beneath the water, withdrawn into a black sulkiness which can find no joy in God or man or the universe. Heresy: Rejection of religious and/or political “norms.” We will encounter Farinata degli Uberti, a military leader and an aristocrat tried to win the Italian throne, convicted of heresy in 1283. Violence: This is the first circle to be further segmented into sub-circles or rings. There are three of them, the Outer, Middle, and Inner rings, and each ring houses different types of violent criminals. The first are those who were violent against people and property, such as Attila the Hun. The Middle Ring consists of those who commit violence against themselves (suicide). The Inner Ring is made up of the blasphemers, or those who are violent against God and nature. Fraud: This circle is distinguished from its predecessors by its being made up of those who consciously and willingly commit fraud. Treachery: The deepest circle of Hell, where Lucifer resides. The last two circles of Hell punish sins that involve conscious fraud or treachery. These circles can be reached only by descending a vast cliff on the back of Geryon, a winged monster traditionally represented as having three heads or three conjoined bodies. Here you shall retrieve Lucifers horn. Quest Details: Venture through the depths of hell to retrieve Lucifers horns. Your guide shall be Violet Lovat. Sister to Victoria and Varon as well as the purest demon created from the screams of the sinners of the nine circles. Do not anger her, for if you do she will not hesitate in leaving you to rot in hell. You will encounter four different beasts in four of nine circles. Each beast takes a different amount of turns to take down depending of its power. Do not wander and do not leave the group. You will be left behind. Dispose of all hope, Ye who enter here.
