slccouncil/future-of-salt-lake-city-golf-courses/ IMPORTANT: On Feb 3, 2015 the city will talk about the future of the citys golf courses. The disc golf community NEEDS to participate in this discussion for 2 reasons in order support of Roots and for possibly other courses (hybrids) in the valley: 1) We promised the Rose Park Community Council to speak up in favor of the Rose Park golf course, in turn they will support us to maintain Roots indefinitely. 2) Also, look through this long report (slcdocs/council/agendas/2015agendas/January/Jan20/012015A3H2.pdf), the SLC Golf Division has added information on putting disc golf courses on some of the remaining city golf courses (check the section with the Golf Turn Around Plan) to diversify and help the crumbling golf program. We need to support this and maybe more disc golf opportunities will emerge. Someone should present the amazing development of Mulligans with the city council. Jade Sewell?!?... Do I get any commitments to participate? I wish I could help but WI is too far away. This is a huge opportunity to make Roots permanent and maybe add more on existing city golf courses using an approach like out at Mulligans!
