so grateful to hear Bill McKibben speak in person for the first time tonight at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco with a new friend from the San Francisco Zen Center. McKibben is clearly a person of great commitment, humility, humor, strength and wisdom. He made reference to this video of Desmond Tutu in his talk (I think) and offered encouraging words for those of us in the Episcopal Diocese of California urging divestment from fossil fuels. My Methodist preacher brother in WV would have appreciated his references to their shared spiritual tradition for sure. We all have work to do. Let us pray we do it.
