so, this lovely thunderstorm came through earlier tonight and apparently lightning hit our building....scared the crud out of Robert, Dakota and I! Our tv went out along with the computers and lights....lights came back on in a few minutes but we could not get the tvs back on nor connect to the internet....So, I called EPB Fiber Optics (where we have cable, internet and phone service through) and they tested the lines....nothing....so they said a technician was in our area and would be here in about an hour or so....Jack showed up around 7:30 and had to switch out one of our cable boxes and set us up with a new internet router as ours was fried....Robert had to bring down the tv from our bedroom to the living room because the living room tv is fried as well!! thankfully, my computer is not fried....so we have to call our renters insurance company tomorrow to make sure we are covered....Dakotas tv is fried too! The Blu-ray player is not working so we will have to replace that as well....not sure about the PS3....EPB Fiber Optics customer service and their technicians are FANTASTIC! and I even asked Jack if he had to go help other people and he said his main priority was here!!! the other cable place around here probably wouldnt have sent out a technician for a few days!
