so we noticed a lot of little splatters on our vehicles, flag and on the house. Did not have any painting done with that color of paint. so thought it might be some type of sap from one of our trees, sooooooooooo had our Certified Arborist come out and discovered we have "Shotgun Fungus" that is growing in the mulch. Apparently we have mulch that is prime for this type and they literally explode and splatter everywhere. Be careful if you come over....lol
